Allergen Declarations

Formpak is designed to help you with all of your regulatory and document management requirements, including allergen declarations for fragrance and food allergens.

Allergen declaration documents can be authored, issued and tracked within the software. It is possible to log document supply to customers and automate re-supply of documents when things change. Formpak offers transparency and many additional document management features, enabling you to keep information, staff and customers up-to-date on an ongoing basis.

By combining the power of Suitability Management and Document Management you can completely manage the information coming into and out of the regulatory department. Formpak gives you:

Fragrance allergens

In the European Union 26 fragrance allergens have been highlighted for labelling on consumer products such as toiletries and detergents. There are plans to increase the number of EU fragrance allergens in the near future.

Formpak enables you to determine which allergens are present in a raw material or a formulation, and at what level. It includes all contributions from essential oils, or other complex ingredients.

Fragrance allergen levels can be expressed as total amounts found, or what would require labelling on a consumer product if the fragrance was used in a product at a specified dosage.

If the use of fragrance allergens is restricted by a customer or application, this can be easily managed using Suitability Management.

Formpak users involved in fragrance development and selection can swiftly determine if a fragrance meets regulatory and customer requirements, based on application and dosage, in one quick and easy step.

Food allergens

Food allergen identification and labelling is an especially important aspect of food safety. In addition to the key allergens generally labelled, such as nuts and celery, in some circumstances additional materials require identification and reporting.

In a complex environment with numerous ingredients, potential multiple sources of supply, and infinite possibilities for the ingredient to be used in formulations, it can be difficult to manage information and product status.
