Hadn’t come to any conclusion as to informing customers of the nitrosamine problem but like the idea of the IFRA Certificate. We would go with this. There is not a cut off level for declaration but we find many formulations with ‘0.00%’ due to 2nd and 3rd level inclusion of THPMQuinoline. Do we need to declare the level?
Thanks for that question. As you say, there is no cut off limit given by IFRA below which you need not declare the presence of the ingredient(s). So, we have adopted the approach that if it’s there, declare it. If this is a problem, perhaps a different approach should be considered. Maybe there should be consultation with IFRA. Certainly, I am unsure how useful declarations of such tiny traces of items in this category would be to Downstream Users.
It would be really useful to know from as many people as possible, how much of a problem is it that such low levels of these components can be declared?
Thank you, again!
