Globally Harmonized System – GHS

Formpak software can help manage the requirements of the Globally Harmonized System, by producing compliant Safety Data Sheets and labels in multiple languages. The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) lays down a globally agreed method for classifying chemicals and mixtures based on their hazards. It also discusses how the hazard and safety information should be communicated on labels and in safety data sheets. GHS is aspirational, not compulsory, and has a building block approach. Different global regions have adopted GHS in slightly different ways, including regional versions such as European CLP and USA OSHA.
