Properties – Making a formulation property appear if all the raw materials have the property

Properties – Making a formulation property appear if all the raw materials have the property

Properties – Making a formulation property appear if all the raw materials have the property.

This can be useful e.g. to assign ‘Organic’ to a formulation if all the ingredients are Organic, or to assign an inventory status to a formulation if all the ingredients are listed on a Country inventory.

In both these cases we will be considering the physical composition i.e. raw materials you buy (not what’s inside them, the regulatory composition).

Example: a raw material you buy has a property e.g. CH-INV ‘On the Chinese Inventory’. If all the physical raw materials used in a formulation are on the inventory, then the whole formulation should show as ‘On the Chinese Inventory, CH-INV = Yes’. In this case, you would set up the property as follows:

Property CH-INV

Value Type = Yes/No

Is Calculated = Yes

Calculation Method = All

Property Based on = CH-INV

Calculation Source = Physical Composition
