Changing a UN Number

Many ingredients that are hazardous for transport have their own UN number which must be assigned to simple Raw Materials (i.e. those without composition).

For complex Raw Materials and Formulations, Formpak calculates a UN number based on the hazards of the mixture, however, you may wish to change it for an alternative number.

1. Go to Modify a Raw Material or Modify a Formulation and enter your item code.
2. Click the Properties tab, select Property Group Transport Hazards.
3. Uncheck the ‘Is Calculated’ checkbox for the property TRANSID.

4. Click the Value option:

5. Enter the UN number in the Property Value and click OK

6. Click Calculate Now and Save.

The Proper Shipping Name and other details will now be automatically updated to match the UN number.
