Suitability Constraint Conditions Overview

Exclusivity: This is a global constraint that is always present. Conforms if either:-

  1. The ‘Library’ of the Item is not ‘Exclusive’.
  2. The Company is one of the Item’s ‘Intended Parties’.

Note that only one party needs to be Intended; this allows access to e.g. third- party manufacturers, testing laboratories etc on behalf of the exclusive Party

Limit Property Minimum:Conforms if the value of the Property for the Item is greater than or equal to the Limit. This variant of ‘Property Minimum’ is used to constrain limit values because of these differences:-

  1. For ‘Percent & TFV’ Properties, the Percent value is used.
  2. If it is an ‘In Application’ constraint then the effect of the Dosage is reversed (the value is increased as the Dosage is decreased).

This is useful for ensuring that concentration does not exceed a given limit e.g. IFRA limits, Flavouring Regulation limits.

Physical Composition Incompatibility: If the Item has the Property, and the Physical Composition contains the Item(s) specified with a total Concentration in Percent greater than the Limit, then it fails.

Physical Item Approved List: Conforms if all of the Items in the Physical Composition of the Item are in the list of Items in the constraint. Note- see details about parties and belonging for additional details on managing relationships between regions, organisations and customers.

Physical Item Count Limit: Conforms if the number of Items in the Physical Composition is less than or equal to the Limit.

Physical Item Limit: Conforms if the Concentration in Percent of the Item in the Physical Composition is less than or equal to the Limit. If there is more than one Item specified then the Concentrations are added together.

Physical Item Property Limit: Conforms if the Concentration in Percent of the Item(s) with the Property in the Physical Composition is less than or equal to the Limit.

Physical Property Count Maximum: Conforms if the number of Items with the Property in the Physical Composition of the Item is less than or equal to the Limit.

Physical Property Count Minimum: Conforms if the number of Items with the Property in the Physical Composition of the Item is greater than or equal to the Limit.

Physical Property Over Target Count Maximum: Counts the number of Items in the Physical Composition that individually would give a TFV > 1. Conforms if this count is less than or equal to the Limit.

Physical Property Target Count Maximum: Counts the number of Items in the Physical Composition that individually would give a TFV ? 1. Conforms if this count is less than or equal to the Limit.

Property Forbidden: Conforms if the Item does not have the Property.

Property Maximum: Conforms if the value of the Property for the Item is less than or equal to the Limit.

  1. For ‘Percent & TFV’ Properties, the TFV value is used.
  2. For ‘Entry List’ Properties, the number of entries in the list is used.
  3. If it is an ‘In Application’ constraint then the value is reduced as the Dosage is reduced.

Property Minimum: Conforms if the value of the Property for the Item is greater than or equal to the Limit.

  1. For ‘Percent & TFV’ Properties, the TFV value is used.
  2. For ‘Entry List’ Properties, the number of entries in the list is used.
  3. If it is an ‘In Application’ constraint then the value is reduced as the Dosage is reduced.

Regulatory Composition Incompatibility: If the Item has the Property, and the Regulatory Composition contains the Item(s) specified with a total Concentration in Percent greater than the Limit, then it fails.

Regulatory Item Approved List: Conforms if all of the Items in the Regulatory Composition of the Item are in the list of Items in the constraint.

Regulatory Item Count Limit: Conforms if the number of Items in the Physical Composition is less than or equal to the Limit.

Regulatory Item Limit: Conforms if the Concentration in Percent of the Item in the Regulatory Composition is less than or equal to the Limit. If there is more than one Item specified then the Concentrations are added together.

Regulatory Item Property Limit: Conforms if the Concentration in Percent of the Item(s) with the Property in the Regulatory Composition is less than or equal to the Limit.

Regulatory Property Count Maximum: Conforms if the number of Items with the Property in the Regulatory Composition of the Item is less than or equal to the Limit.

Regulatory Property Count Minimum: Conforms if the number of Items with the Property in the Regulatory Composition of the Item is greater than or equal to the Limit.

Regulatory Property Over Target Count Maximum: Counts the number of Items in the Regulatory Composition that individually would give a TFV > 1. Conforms if this count is less than or equal to the Limit.

Regulatory Property Target Count Maximum: Counts the number of Items in the Regulatory Composition that individually would give a TFV ? 1. Conforms if this count is less than or equal to the Limit.
